CMS had advised Selecta One, a German multinational specialising in the breeding and sale of young plants, on the acquisition of all shares in Wagagai Ltd.
Wagagai Ltd. is one of the world's largest cutting farms and is located on the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda. Wagagai employs over 2,000 people and is renowned not only for its high production standards but also for its commitment to social and environmental engagement.
As part of the acquisition, Selecta One is committed to continuing Wagagai's social programmes, including the on-site health clinic that provides essential medical care to employees and their families, as well as education and community outreach initiatives.
With this acquisition, Selecta One further expands its international production network, secures long-term production capacity in East Africa and underlines its commitment to sustainable and socially responsible business practices.
The CMS team was led by Elmer Veenman and comprised of Bob Barnhoorn and Niels de Vries.
