Short Rules on Price Reduction Campaign in Slovakia

Slovakia has failed to implement the Omnibus Directive, therefore the price reduction campaigns rules are not yet regulated. In theory, the application could possible only via indirect effect of the directive (under EU case law on euro-conform interpretation of law). At the moment it does not seem very probable, that Slovak consumers would ask from Slovak courts or authorities to interpret their rights according to the Omnibus Directive.

The Omnibus Directive is part of a major amendment of the Slovak consumer protection laws, which is still in the legislative pipeline. The draft of the amendment is in interdepartmental revision, but it is still an early version. Therefore, we are unable to answer the below questions at the moment.
